The answer is that under power source when the solar panel is connected and detected this changes from battery to power outlet indicating that power is coming from the solar panel or ac.

Then reconnect it to the device and check if you will still get the same message. I have the ring stick up cam battery and have attached the solar panel and i don t see any way to check if it is actually working. The volt reading on your multi meter should be close to or just under 60 volts.
